Bonding

Dental Bonding

Dental bonding is a cosmetic procedure using tooth-colored composite resin to reshape or repair teeth. It's a quick, affordable option ideal for fixing minor imperfections like chips, gaps, discoloration, or uneven teeth—often completed in a single visit without anesthesia.

Common reasons for bonding:

  • Closing gaps between teeth

  • Repairing chips or cavities

  • Lengthening uneven teeth

  • Covering discoloration

  • Protecting exposed roots from gum recession

Procedure:

The dentist preps the tooth by etching the surface and applying a conditioning liquid. Then, layers of resin are applied, shaped, and hardened with a special light. The final step involves polishing the bonded area to match surrounding teeth.

Though bonding may discolor or wear over time, it’s durable and can last for years. It's a great option for enhancing your smile without extensive treatment.
