Dr. Carli Katz is an experienced, caring dentist on whom this practice is built. You’ll enjoy getting to know her and benefitting from her excellent education and enhanced skill set. At 613 Dentistry Chula Vista, our goal is to offer services that support your overall health through dental and oral health care that prevents problems, accurately diagnoses them when they occur and treats them using safe, comfortable and modern methods. With Dr. Carli Katz at the helm, we’re ready to meet and serve you. While she hasn’t always lived in Chula Vista or the San Diego area, her heart has always been in this area that she calls home. She has also spent time acquiring and expanding her dental skills in Atlanta, Boston and Chicago.

Dr. Carli Katz holds a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from prestigious Tufts University in Boston and is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, The International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, the San Diego Dental Society and ranked as a Top 3 Dentist by the San Diego Dentist Association.
Connecting with patients to provide individualized care is one of the things in which Dr. Carli Katz takes the most pride. She actively works to continually improve her knowledge and skills in general and family dentistry, keeping up with the latest advances in techniques and technology so you get the highest level of care. She is comfortable with every aspect of dental care and can handle all dental needs without having to refer you to a specialist.

When not working to make 613 Dentistry the friendliest and best dental practice in Chula Vista, Dr. Carli Katz like working out, dancing and learning to cook. Her dream is to be recognized around the world as a Zumba-teaching dentist.

A BDS graduate from the University of The Witwatersrand in Johannesburg in 1979, Dr. Katz regraduated as a DDS in California in 1986.

He holds Diplomas in  Orthodontics from the American Academy of Orthodontics (since 1988), a Diploma in CoreVent Implant Placement since 1991, as well as one from California Implant Institute in 2021.

He is the president of the International Academy of Dento-facial Esthetics, and sits on the Faculty at Nova South Eastern University School of Dental Medicine.

He is the founder and inventor of the SafeGide Implant Placement Systems,  co-founder of Novalar Pharmaceuticals, and co-inventor of Oraverse Anesthetic reversal agent.

He is also the founder / lead instructor of Dentox Dentofacial Education, and is also named on the Botox patents for all dentofacial indications using Botulinum neuromodulators.

A Sincere Passion for Dentistry

Dr. Howard Katz has a passion for dentistry that was instilled at a young age. He enjoys keeping up on the latest studies and technology in his fields. He truly enjoys the challenge presented that each individual brings to the table – as we are all unique.

In His Free Time

In his limited amount of free time, Dr. Howard Katz loves spending time with his family, remodeling homes, traveling, volunteering to share his dental knowledge with the less privileged in San Diego, and staying in shape!
 

He has volunteered at the St Vincent de Paull dental clinic, St James- St Leo Dental Clinic, as well as dental clinics for refugees in Ofakim and Jerusalem (in Israel).
